We offer the experience of a large firm with the nimbleness of a boutique agency and focus on forging leading practice communication and stakeholder engagement that delivers for our clients and their community.

Spectrum Comms is a collective of respected and experienced senior engagement professionals based in the Hunter Valley and offer their services across NSW and further afield.

Our two company Directors, Angela Felton and Melissa Maurer started working together in 2016 to deliver the community engagement program for the Newcastle Light Rail project. This project won the 2019 Premier’s Award in the category of ‘Building a Strong Economy’. At the completion of the project in 2018, Angela and Melissa decided that they enjoyed working together so much that they wanted to stay a team!

From this, Spectrum Comms, a small consultancy with our two company Directors and one client was born. In five years, Spectrum Comms has grown to a team of thirteen senior communications and community engagement specialists with nearly 70 clients that include high profile organisations like Snowy Hydro, Hunter Water, Downer, Energy Co, Transport for NSW, NSW EPA, Sydney Metro, ARTC, John Holland, Port Waratah Coal Services, Major Road Projects Victoria and ten local councils across NSW. 

We collaborate with our clients to help you understand who your key stakeholders and communities are, identify what matters to them the most including the negotiables and non-negotiables for project delivery, and how to best engage and communicate for social acceptance and sustainability.

Should you need it, we also specialise in on-the-ground engagement, complaints and crisis management and we maintain a strong network of trusted, like-minded professionals we can call on. Our accreditation with the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) and adherence to their core values and strict code of ethics means you can be confident we are delivering industry-leading and compliant solutions, every time.
